Philanthropy

Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide “a home away from home” for families with children who are in need of medical attention. As a whole, Alpha Delta Pi has helped raise more than 5 million for its international philanthropy.

Here at the Tau chapter, our sisters remain actively involved with the houses year-round, from helping with the upkeep of the houses to spending time with the guests and preparing homemade meals for the families who are staying there.

Each spring, the Tau chapter looks forward to hosting its annual Lion Share Challenge philanthropy event, LemonADPI — a lemonade stand and cookie sale in which a variety of Greek chapters, athletic teams, and campus organizations come together to raise money for the Ronald McDonald Houses of the Greater Kansas City area.

The Tau chapter recognizes the importance of giving back to the University of Kansas, as well as the local community. Numerous sisters are involved in charity organizations around the community and on campus, and many of sisters hold positions on executive committees for these organizations. Sisters can be found volunteering for Circle of Sisterhood, KU Dance Marathon, and The Big Event, just to name a few.
